Learning landscape rooted in the ecology of Rockies
Studio Campo shapes a 45-acre campus vision plan for an outdoor education center in the foothills above Golden, Colorado. Working with the Bella Charitable Foundation, the educational campus connects youth to nature through art, agriculture, and ecological immersion. Native and xeric planting supports habitat, while maker spaces, gardens, and field stations foster education, creativity, and meaningful human–landscape interaction. The campus design leaned on the expertise of social-emotional learning experts to meet a diversity of learning styles.
